The game of baccarat is a popular casino card game all over the world. There is, however, more than one version of the game. In fact, there are three. The three versions of baccarat are Punto Banco, Chemin de Fer, and Baccarat Banque. The most common version in North American is Punto Banco. Playing Punto Banco, like other version of baccarat, is actually quite easy. In fact, there is not much you have to do at all because the croupier does all of the work. The game is simple; you place a bet on the banker, the player, or a tie. After players place their bets, the cards are dealt to the player and then the banker.
The two hands are then flipped over and the croupier calls out the totals for the hands. If either hand totals eight or nine, the game is over and payouts are awarded. If the player has an initial total between zero and five, he draws one additional card but if he has a total of six or seven, he stands. If the player did not draw any cards and the banker has a hand from zero to five, the banker draws a card. If the player drew a two or three, the banker draws if he has zero to four. If the player drew a four or five, the banker draws if he has a zero to five. If the player drew a six or seven, the banker draws if he has zero to six. If the player drew an eight, the banker draws if he has zero to two. If the player draws a nine, ten or ace, the banker draws if he has zero to three.
